  * Potential next steps:
    * use an oszi or a USB uszi to check if the graphics card is handing out a proper signal. With the MCE2HDMI card, I see "something" which changes when I press keys. But no proper sync/picture.
    * replace the graphics card with a known good one (I don't have access to one)
    * strip down cards, check the dip switches position (haven't modified these so far)
