皆さん、ブラジルの雨林が燃えているという事を聞きましたでしょう。ドイツには、日本より、大きなニュースになっていると思います。

それは大変だと思っています。木が二酸化炭素を受け取ってくれます。雨林が燃えると、いくつかの問題があります。木が消えると、二酸化炭素を空気から受け取る事が止ります。その上、燃えている木から保存していた二酸化炭素が空気に移動します。三番目は、木が消えた土が不安定になる可能性があります。根がないから、雨で土が消える恐れがあります。

ヨーロッパの国はブラジルの大統領を厳しく批判しています。もちろん、ブラジルの雨林は人間に凄く大した物だと思っています。

地球には、各国がありますね。国々には、地理的な特徴があります。ドイツには、大きな森がありません。鉄や石炭や石油もありません。日本には、石油なども無いけど魚が居ますね。ブラジルなら、雨林があります。

昔々、ドイツにも大きな森がありました。住民がそれを今のブラジル人と同じ、消費してしまいました。つまり、環境を考えずに、金儲けを大切にしました。その理解の上、今はブラジルの人に「雨林を燃やさないでう」というのは、倫理的に良くないでしょう。つまり、「僕達は自分の森を売りました。あなた達は売らないでください」とい事です。

地球は一つのシステムだと思います。全面的に見ると、現在のドイツは工事などで空気を汚くなります。もちろん、ドイツにも木がありますけど打ち上げた汚染より少ないです。 今のブラジルは合計で空気を綺麗になります。工場もありまけどそれより、木が多いですね。

その理解で、汚染を出す会社はその汚染を消毒する為に、ブラジルなどにお金を払った方がよいと思っています。そうすると、ブラジルが「雨林が大切な材料」とい事が分かります。それから汚染が多い会社がお金が沢山払うから、その商品の値段が高くなります。ちょうど良いでしょう。

I guess you have all heard about the burning rain forest in Brazil. I think that got more attention in German news than it got in the Japanese news.

Trees are taking in co2, so the burning rain forest is a huge problem - they can no longer take in co2. Additionally, the burning trees cause extra co2 discharge. On top of that, the roots can no longer stabilize the soil, so there is danger of rain washing the soil away.

Various European countries are criticizing the Brazil president, as the Brazil rainforest is such an important asset for whole mankind.

The countries on earth have all their own geographical specialities. For example, Germany has no big forests, no iron, coal or oil. Japan has also for example no oil, but fish. Brazil has the rain forest.

In the past, we had also huge forests in Germany. Just like the Brazilians are doing it today, Germans did cut down the forests, so used the wood and the land of the former forests. Earning resources and money was more important than the environment. With this understanding, is there a right to say the Brazilians that they should not use up their forest? It's like saying “see, while we sold our forest, you must not do the same to your forest”.

One could see the world as one closed system. Looking at all of Germany at this moment, then industry there is emitting co2 and other gas - more than the trees in Germany can compensate. The calculation for Brazil is probably so that their trees are cleaning more air than their industry is emitting.

With this understanding, I think we need to have emitters of co2 like industries to pay for the dirt they produce, and the money should go to Brazil and other countries. This is the right incentive for Brazil to understand the rain forest as a resource, and not take it down. Also, industry emitting much dirt pays more than cleaner industry, making their products more expensive. This is setting incentives to produce environment friendly.
