  • Switchbot プラグミニ スマートプラグ amazon.co.jp
    • summary: power consumption readings are available via API from the cloud of the vendor, details
    • model W2001400 / SwitchBot-Plug-Mini
    • portscan: nothing open
    • functions app: on/off, timer, electrical consumption
  • +Style ORIGINAL スマートプラグ amazon.co.jp
    • summary: offers functionality like remote on/off and consumption measurement only over the vendors cloud/mobile app. No APIs for automated reading available.
    • portscan: TCP/6668 open
    • model PS-P0P-W01/1P
    • functions direct API: no direct API

  • ゴウサンド/Gosund WP6-1 amazon.co.jp
    • summary: offers functionality like remote on/off and consumption measurement only over the vendors cloud/mobile app. No APIs for automated reading available. This might be compatible with tuya-convert, but no luck for me.
    • model name: gosund smart plug
    • portscan: TCP/6668 open
    • functions app: on/off, timer, electrical consumption
    • ESPhome firmware supports the US version of the WP6.. no note about JP version.
    • Seems to be a Tuya device. Not sure if https://github.com/ct-Open-Source/tuya-convert supports it, but it might be possible to add the device to the Tuya cloud and access it there with this API? https://github.com/codetheweb/tuyapi

For Germany, thinking about these

For Germany, purchased/tried out these

  • Shelly Plug S

    • functions app: on/off, timer, electrical consumption
    • functions direct API: on/off, temperature, power consumption
    • ESPhome firmware supports the Shelly Plug S apparently. Actually, default firmware looks good enough for me right now.
  • unknown vendor
    • functions app: on/off, timer, electrical consumption
    • no direct API, no API via cloud either
